授業のねらい・到達目標 | 「英語1」は、聞く・話すという、音声言語としてのコミュニケーション能力を培うことを目標としています。母国語習得過程を振り返っても十分理解できるように、言語は思ったり感じたりすることを話し、これを聞いて理解するものとして発達してきました。英語によく耳を傾け、おおよその内容を理解できるようになること、自分が相手に伝えようとすることを英語で即座に表現できること、そうしたコミュニケーション能力を高めていくことがこの授業のねらいです。 The primary focus of this course is on listening. The course uses pre-recorded materials for class activities. Students also learn how to give short speeches. At the end of the course, students will have the confidence in holding a conversation in English. |
授業の方法 | Each unit of the textbook is completed within one class session. Speeches, which are meant to serve as a review of the skills being learnt, will mirror the themes of the textbook. |
履修条件 | ①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③後期は同一教員による同一時限の「英語2」を履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。 |
事前学修・事後学修,授業計画コメント | In this course, students work on skills of speaking and listening and also enjoy the experience of studying a new language. Students spend up to 50 minutes per week for their off-class assignments and they will need to prepare beforehand on the basis of the information given in the 'Preparation' part of each week's details. |

成績評価の方法及び基準 | 授業内テスト(35%)、授業参画度(15%)、Four speech practices(40%)、Week-14-special assignment(10%) Students need to attend a minimum of 10 classes to be considered for evaluation. |
オフィスアワー | Saturdays 12:30-12:55 at the teachers’ room. Students are also welcomed to send an email anytime. The mail address will be released in the first class. |
