授業概要 Native English-speaking artists often draw on sources that were not originally in English, such as ancient Greek mythology. This course therefore presents some myths as background for English literature and culture.
授業のねらい・到達目標 Can read some classical Greek myths in English translation.
Can understand them.
Can interpret them.
Can see how they are still present in English literature and culture.

授業の方法 Students will read myths and complete comprehension activities for homework; then listen to brief lectures, watch media, and discuss the material with their classmates in order to consolidate it. Retention of all the content covered will be evaluated via weekly quizzes. Finally, they should spend 1 hour to complete preparation and homework for each class.
