| 授業概要 | Students should view this course as a confidence builder. Those who take this course will be expected to use this opportunity to express their own opinions and ideas based on a broad range of topics and processes.Only by using one's own knowledge and expressing ideas and opinions can one expect to progress towards fluency in any language. |
| 授業のねらい・到達目標 | Due to the exceptional circumstances of this semester, the level of difficulty will be lower than usual as teacher-student interaction will be lower. However, the four skills (reading-writing-listening-speaking) will still be practiced within general themes which will include random explanation of processes etc., written reports, Logic quizzes, grammar practice and PowerPoint presentations made with verbal explanation. Sufficient time will be allowed to complete the presentation. In this course, students should not worry about their English levels nor should they worry about making mistakes as making mistakes is an important part of any learning process. By the end of the course, students will have developed a better understanding of unwritten processes involved in learning. By this, I mean, that not everything can be learnt through text-books. | 授業の方法 | As this will be an online course, students will be expected to read a variety of topics and themes and display a degree of understanding. Students will also be required to submit recordings of various exercises that require vocal responses. Lastly, students enrolled in this course are not native English speakers. Therefore, nobody expects individual students to have perfect English or to submit perfect English reports. However, students will be expected to do their best. As stated before: Mistakes are good. They assist all learning processes. |
