Outline of History of China through Literature in relationship with philosophical and religious thoughts from the Song dynasty onward 
授業のねらい・到達目標
This course will focus on Chinese history from the pre-Qin periods up to the end of the Tang dynasty.  The course will look over these periods of time through certain angles, namely through literature, philosophy and religious thoughts.  By so doing, we will be able to understand the flow of history as a unity of connected events and as frameworks of people's thoughts.   
授業の方法
This course is performed in a style of lecture.  No text or study-aid book is required for students to buy, as reading materials will be basically provided in a class.  A short summary of a given material will be required every time as a sort of homework, which will be counted as participation mark.  All students will be required to hand in the final long essay at the end of the term which will be the main ground for the marking.
