授業テーマ	The main purpose of this speaking course is to improve students' basic ability spoken English.
授業のねらい・到達目標	This is a topic-based course where students learn to engage in natural conversation by focusing on questions and answers of specific topics. Each class begins with a brief lecture of the vocabulary and target language that will be used for the lesson as well as a listening task to introduce the topic and questions that will be asked. Students then work with partners asking and answering the questions related to the topic, and then give brief presentations in small groups about the information that they learned about their partner.
授業の方法	The flow of the class usually begins with a brief lecture about the topic to be covered, going over vocabulary, grammar, etc. Next, there is a short story for listening/speaking practice, along with comprehension questions. After that, there is an additional listening task. The class then continues with students asking and answering questions with a partner about the class topic. And finally, students report to each other in small groups what they learned about their partners.
履修条件	・同一教員・同一時限で前期と後期を対にして履修すること。・後期のみの受講希望者も必ず「前期」の初回授業に参加し、履修の許可を得た上で、後期に履修登録をすること。前期の初回授業時に受講希望者が定員を超過した場合、人数調整をする。

備考	This is an enjoyable course for students who want to learn speaking skills in English. This is not an easy task, so one of the goals is to encourage students to work well with partners in small groups in order to accomplish the tasks, while having fun. By enjoying the time spent in class, students will learn more and succeed. Attending class is the most important factor for the success of this course. In addition to good attendance, being on time is also very important. If a student fails to meet the minimum attendance and punctuality requirements, they may not pass the course. As we all know, life is hectic and requires a lot of energy in many areas, for both students and teachers. It is therefore essential to have the necessary energy in order to be productive in this course. This requires that all students to be well rested and have good attitudes about learning. Without a sound mind, body, and spirit, effective learning cannot take place. An equally important thing to keep in mind is the idea of courtesy and common sense. Students must have both in order to pass the course as well as succeed in life. And finally, learning English is a challenging task that requires continued effort, but while enjoying the time spent in doing so. Good luck!
