---|---|
授業のねらい・到達目標 | Through carefully reading and discussing E.L. Doctorow’s novel Ragtime, students will develop and practice ways of teaching the novel, and other English language literary texts, to fellow students. The objective is to have students actively engage themselves in presenting and solving problems in understanding. |
授業の方法 | Students will read 20-25 pages of the novel per week, and complete homework tasks that will aid them in understanding the language, themes, and issues that are key to the novel. In class, student groups will present and discuss their strategies for teaching the novel to fellow students. The final weeks of class will feature group teaching projects which will explore various ways and means of teaching the novel. |
