授業テーマ | HIS COURSE IS OPEN TO JAPANESE STUDENTS who wish to experience the atmosphere of equivalent coursework in Western universities, and thereby motivate themselves toward developing their communicative skills in academic English! この科目は欧米大学の同等科目の雰囲気を味わい、英語で考え、表現する力を少しでも養いたい日本人学生のための「体験学習の場」です! (以下英文になります。概要をよく解読し、不明な点があればショッピングウィーク―即ちクラス開講時の登録変更可能期間―に担当教員に遠慮なく問い質し、納得の上で履修登録してください。) * * * * * * * * * * 以下詳細 / Quae infra sunt * * * * * * * * * * This course will introduce students to the anthropology of Japanese popular culture (hereafter JPC). Students will delve into social mechanisms, cultural practices, and historical processes that set the stage for conspicuous social phenomena that make up JPC. Questions to be investigated include: how JPC and relevant trends emerge, spread, and become parts of Japanese national competence. Case studies may include courtesanship, kabuki acting, manga, anime, J-Pop and J-Hip musical genres, pop idolatry, Takarazuka revue, otaku syndrome, the Cawaii phenomena, and Cool Japan. |

事前学修・事後学修,授業計画コメント | Group project will be given after a series of lectures. Students should be ready to work outside of the class as well. Project workshops will be provided in order to get a good sense of how to integrate what one learned through different approaches of subject acquisition in class. |
