授業テーマ	英作文をとおして日常表現を学ぶ
授業のねらい・到達目標	1年次の「英語1〜4」では、スピーキング、リスニング、リーディングという、英語による3つのコミュニケーションの方法を学びましたが、「英語6」では、ライティングという、もうひとつのコミュニケーションの方法を学びます。スピーキングと同様に、書くという能動的な行為をとおして、自分が持っている語彙や文法的知識を最大限に活かしながら、英語による表現力を養います。日常生活において、より自然で英語らしい表現を用いて自分自身を表現できるようにすることを目標とします。
授業の方法	「英語6」の受講生は、自然な英語らしい表現を用いて自分自身について表現するために、辞書や文法書などを丁寧に引いて語彙や例文などを確認し、活用することが求められます。また英作文という英語による表現をとおして、母語での表現についても深く考えることが求められます。
履修条件	①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、外国語教育センター（FLEC）にて、振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③同一教員・同一時限で前期の「英語5」と対にして履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。（中国語中国文化学科及びドイツ文学科の学生は除く。）
事前学修・事後学修，授業計画コメント	前期の学習形態は同じです。後期は、前期のone paragraph writing からステップアップして essay writing の習得を目指します。
