授業テーマ This class focusses on how different teaching methods are influenced by the different schools of educational psychology.
授業のねらい・到達目標 Students will become familiar with the educational schools of Behaviorism, Humanism, Constructivism and Social Interactionism. These schools of thought will then be connected to various teaching methods including audiolingualism, affective variables, individual learning strategies and communicative language teaching. Students will read research articles on English language teaching and write a research paper on an ELT topic.
授業の方法 Students will engage with the content of the course through various readings, vocabulary exercises, reading comprehension questions, discussions videos and essay assignments. Furthermore, students will be required to apply some of the theories and methods in hands on teaching activities in small groups.
