授業の形態 | The classes will be conducted in person on campus. For students living abroad or far away from campus and excused by the university, classes will be conducted by posting the assignments on blackboard. Students are required to follow the instructions carefully and submit their assignment on time by the due date. 授業概要 | In this semester, we will continue to develop the communicative skills mastered in the spring semester, Students will develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills to be understood in spoken English and in formal and informal conversations They will also build their vocabulary to prepare for the TOEIC test. |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | この科目は文理学部のDP及びCPの2, 3, 6 に対応している。 The aim of the course is to develop the communicative skills of the students. Students will develop their listening and speaking skills to understand and respond in ways appropriate to the situation. (A-2-1)(A-3-1) They will learn to summarize what they read to be able to explain in easy language. Students will also be develop their presentation skills studied in the spring semester to be able to do more advanced presentations using the advanced presentation techniques studied in this semester. This would build confidence to make short presentations in front of an audience.(A-6-1) |
授業の方法 | 授業の形式:【演習】 Students will participate in activities designed to improve their listening comprehension and ability to make themselves understood in spoken English, including formal and informal conversation.The skill building exercises will be done in the form of individual, pair and group work activities. In addition, students will develop the ability to summarize what they have understood from the lesson studied in class. Advanced presentation techniques will be introduced, and students will be guided to do research for their presentation. Feedback on work done in class and for homework will be given to the students in the next class. The pace and speed of the class will be adjusted depending on the progress and performance of the students. 【Students who live abroad and far away from the campus. Also, students who are permitted by CHS or departments they belong to, or students who is permitted by class teachers.】 Complete assignments on Blackboard given each week. |

成績評価の方法及び基準 | 授業内テスト:Final test(60%)、授業参画度:Active class participation and homework(25%)、Presentations(15%) Evaluate tasks on Blackboard for any students who cannot attend in-person. 対⾯授業に参加できない場合の条件を満たし遠隔で参加した場合、課題の提出によって評価する。 小テストや授業内試験を受けられない場合、Blackboardを介した課題提出によって評価する。期日については都度、Blackboardで告知する。 |
