授業概要 | To help students gain fluency in basic conversational English, and work on public speaking skills. |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | This class is designed to increase students confidence in basic spoken English.(A-3-2、A-4-2、A-6-2) この科目は文理学部のディプロマポリシーDP3、DP4、DP6、及び、カリキュラムポリシーCP3、CP4、CP6、に対応している。 |
授業の方法 | 演習形式 Students will talk about daily conversational topics in pairs or in small groups, and practice speaking before a group. Students are supposed to spend 1 hour to complete preparation and homework on each class. 遠隔での参加を認める要件: 「⽇本に⼊国できない留学⽣,遠⽅に居住している学⽣で事前に学部(学科)から許可された者。または事前に授業担当教員の許可された者。」 代替措置: Blackboard に配信する課題を提出する。そのほか詳しいことは状況に応じて別途指示する。 |
履修条件 | ・同一教員・同一時限で前期と後期を対にして履修すること。 ・後期のみの受講希望者も必ず「前期」の初回授業に参加し、履修の許可を得た上で、後期に履修登録すること。前期の初回授業時に受講希望者が定員を超過した場合、人数調整をする。 ・Only for students who are prepared to try to speak in English. |

成績評価の方法及び基準 | レポート:Homework(25%)、授業内テスト:Week15(25%)、授業参画度:Utterances in class(25%)、Speaking tests(25%) Students who are frequently late or absent will not receive credit for this course. Nor will students who constantly speak in Japanese in class. 対⾯授業に参加できない場合の条件を満たし遠隔で参加した場合、課題の提出によって評価する。 小テストや授業内試験を受けられない場合、Blackboardを介した課題提出によって評価する。期日については都度、Blackboardで告知する。 |

備考 | Please try not to be shy. The more you try to speak in English the better you will become. It is ok to make mistakes so don't worry. Students must bring a B-5 notebook and a good dictionary. Also, they will be expected to do some homework including preparing for speaking and vocabulary tests. A plastic folder is recommended to keep handouts in. |
