| 授業概要 | Students will be introduced to Victorian literature (1837-1901) by exposing them to some of the most famous fairy tales written during the early (1837-60) and middle (1861-80) periods of that era. |

| 授業の方法 | 演習 Students will read Victorian fairy tales, along with some criticism, and summarize them for homework; then complete comprehension activities, listen to brief lectures, watch media, and discuss the content in class in order to consolidate the material. They are also expected to review all the content necessary for the weekly quizzes. Finally, they should spend 1 hour to complete preparation and homework for each class. For students who live abroad, far away from the campus, or permitted by CHS or departments they belong to, or permitted by class teachers, please complete assignments on Blackboard given each week. |

| 成績評価の方法及び基準 | 授業内テスト:14 Quizzes(87%)、授業参画度:13 Homework assignments (1% each)(13%) Complete assignments on Blackboard given each week. 対⾯授業に参加できない場合の条件を満たし遠隔で参加した場合、課題の提出によって評価する。 小テストや授業内試験を受けられない場合、Blackboardを介した課題提出によって評価する。期日については都度、Blackboardで告知する。 |
