授業概要 | The primary goal of this course is to develop students’ listening and speaking skills with a focus on interaction. Each week, the students will develop their vocabulary skills by learning the vocabulary necessary to discuss the topic. They will also be able to develop their speaking confidence by following a model conversation and completing guided speaking tasks. |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | By the end of this course, students will be able to interact actively with each other and participate in simple discussions on various topics. They will also have increased knowledge of basic vocabulary, phrases and interaction patterns. And will be able to think critically and demonstrate their understanding of short listening. They will also be able to deliver short, easy-to-follow presentations that engage the audience and be able to present effectively.(A-2- 1、A-3-1、A-6-1) この科目は文理学部のDP及びCPの2, 3, 6 に対応しています。 |

授業の方法 | Students will also enhance their listening skills by listening to a TED talk and answering questions. At the end of each unit, they will creatively use the language they have learned in a final discussion task. Once they have completed three units, they will be able to practice their presentation skills on a topic related to the unit theme. Students who live abroad and far away from the campus. Also, students who are permitted by CHS or departments they belong to, or students who are permitted by class teachers will be expected to participate in class via Zoom and also upload assignments to Google Classroom. Feedback on their presentation performance will be given via Google Classroom one week after the performance. Feedback on the online practice activities will be given instantly. |
履修条件 | ①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、外国語教育センターで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③「英語1」(前期)と「英語2」(後期)は同一教員による同一時限のクラスを履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。 |
