| 授業の形態 | There will be PowerPoint files uploaded by the teacher. The files will feature an audio track recording to guide the students through the lesson. The lessons will often but always coincide with the assigned textbook. We will use the Blackboard. Here is the ID: 20201735.I will post the lessons every week. They should take about roughly 90 minutes to complete, the same as a regular in-class lesson. |

| 授業概要 | The general purpose of this class is to introduce students to contemporary topics with the intent of expressing opinions and counterattacking opposing ideas. Ideas will be expressed via texts, in-class audio, video and web-based activities. Topics will be discussed, examined and dissected in pairs and in group exercises. |
| 授業のねらい・到達目標 | The goals of this class are to help students engage in higher level, modern day discussions that go a step beyond basic everyday niceties. Students will be able to give their opinions with confidence and with the evidence and facts to support their beliefs. | 授業の方法 | The style of this class is serious with a heavy dose of fun and in-class interaction. Students will be required to speak with other students as well as the teacher in English. Most classes will begin with a word activity to stimulate the brain. This will be followed by guided conversation, the textbook, another conversation activity and finally a review. |
