授業概要 This class will allow students to enhance their written English through improving organizational skills along with patterns of the target language, English. This goal will be achieved by understanding topics, writing, revising and editing paragraphs.
授業のねらい・到達目標 By the end of this course students shall be able to understand the aspects of good writing and be apply them appropriately.

Students shall be able to identify and write the essential forms of paragraphs and essays.

Also they will be able to write for specific purposes.

この科目は文理学部(学士(文学))のディプロマポリシーDP3、DP4、DP6、DP7、及び、カリキュラムポリシーCP3、CP4、CP6、CP7、に対応している。
授業の方法 First students will learn to narrow down a topic by being presented with examples then doing it themselves.

Next they will be presented with the parts of a paragraph and then practice writing them.

After that students shall learn, through example, how to revise and edit paragraphs and then accomplish this task.

Then students will be given various forms of paragraphs to understand then write different styles of paragraphs.

In conclusion students will be presented with the form of a short essay and then write one.

Students will need to spend at least one (1) hour to complete preparation and homework on each class.

Students participation will be measured by a reaction paper covering the topic covered in each and every class.
In class examinations will be measured by a mid-term exam and a term ending exam.
