| 授業概要 | You will learn to understand what people say and how they say it; that is, you will improve your listening comprehension, and also, you will be more aware of what specific language is used to manage conversations You will use both guided and freer speaking exercises to practice the specific language in real world conversations. |

| 授業の方法 | 演習 -You will do listening activities alone or with a partner. Speaking practice will be in pairs or groups. Reading tasks will be done alone or in groups. Writing tasks will be done alone. -We will finish most of the textbook, which has 12 units. -Try to speak English as much as possible in class. -Students will spend one hour and thirty minutes to complete preparation and homework for each class. *Students who live abroad and far away from the campus. Also, students who are permitted by CHS or departments they belong to, or students who are permitted by class teachers. --Complete assignments on Canvas LMS given each week. **Depending on the the activity, feedback will be provided immediately or in following class. |
| 履修条件 | ①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、GRECで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③「英語1」（前期）と「英語2」（後期）は同一教員による同一時限のクラスを履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。 |

| 成績評価の方法及び基準 | 授業内テスト:Final Test(40%)、授業参画度:Group Presentation(30%)、Homework(30%) 1. Try to speak English at all times. 2. If you miss class, it is your responsibility to contact your classmates to find out what homework you must do for the next class. 3. Students participation will be measured by group presentation once a semester. 4. In-class examination will be measured by term-end test. 5. Students who can not attend will be given an extra assignments regarding grammar and/or vocabulary from textbook instead of in-class exam. |
