| 授業概要 | The goal of this course is to improve students’ daily and academic spoken and listening English communication abilities. Students learn to analyze and express their opinions about an issue of their choice by focusing on conversation and discussion strategies and roles in pair and group work as well as a language focus on vocabulary, collocations, and idioms. |

| 授業の方法 | The content and language-integrated learning method focuses on pair and group work to brainstorm and share ideas before choosing a topic for the academic task. Students analyze a particular issue from four levels (i.e., background, problem, solution, and opinion). Students spend one-hour completing preparation for each class. The book also has exercises and model paragraphs to guide students toward writing their sentences and paragraphs. The book has space for writing and the teacher will bring paper to each class to allow students to create a portfolio for each student. |
