授業の形態 Classes in the autumn 2024 term will be conducted in person. The lessons will follow the course syllabus. Each class will be conducted using a shared Google Doc, which will contain all class information. Instructions about using Google Docs and expectations regarding Google tools will be given on the first day.

授業概要 In this course, students will learn English vocabulary and grammar to explain the content of a short TV movie, The Main Attraction. They should also be able to ask and answer questions about the movie. The Main Attraction is a movie about an American high school student named Brad Bender. In addition, students should be able to describe the cultural differences between US and Japanese high schools.
授業のねらい・到達目標 The Goal for this course is to be able to explain the content of the movie in simple English from start to finish and be able to answer questions about the content.

Students will work in pairs and groups. Most activities will involve an "LRR" method. Listen-Record-Report
Students will be responsible for not only speaking during the activities, but listening to partners and reporting their answers. Feedback will be provided in class and through written assignments.

事前に授業担当教員に許可された者については、代替措置として、Canvas LMS に配信する課題を提出する。そのほか詳しいことは状況に応じて別途指示する。
履修条件 ①英語 習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。
②英語習 熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、GRECで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。
③「英語1」(前期)と「英語2」(後期)は同⼀教員による同⼀時限のクラスを履修すること。
④卒業 に必要な外国語科⽬として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科⽬を履修すること。
