授業概要 | The aim is to improve basic communication skills for Speaking and writing. •Speak and write in English and understand the general content. •English language writing including simple narratives, statements, outlines and essays. •Engage in discussion and debate with another person in a familiar situation about familiar topics. •Speak fluently to convey basic information, feelings and opinions on familiar topics through presentations. |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | The aim of this course is to help students improve their English communication. This will range from individual presentation skills to those required for group work. The focus of class time will be spent on opportunities for speaking and listening, with time also being given for some written project preparation. Units will be divided across two weeks, with the second week having a greater focus on communication activities and project work. Students will be asked to participate in group discussions, debates and decision-making activities based on the themes introduced in class. Reviewing vocabulary and grammar topics will be required homework activities. Completion of this course will equip students with communicative English language skills which can be leveraged in casual, academic, and business settings.(A-2- 1)(A-3-1)(A-6-1) この科目は文理学部のDP及びCPの2, 3, 6 に対応している。 |

授業の方法 | Practice method. Classes will be conducted in a flipped style whereby Students are expected to spend an hour preparing for each class and doing homework, whilst time in class is spent on practical exercises such as watching and analyzing short relevant video-materials, students' presentations, debating and role-play games. Feedback will be provided in class or online when assignments are returned. Students are supposed to spend 1 hour to complete preparation and homework on each class. 履修条件 | ①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、GRECで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③「英語1」(前期)と「英語2」(後期)は同一教員による同一時限のクラスを履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。 |
