授業概要 | This course is designed to help students improve their English speaking and writing skills for academic purposes. Students will actively use English in class with their peers and the instructor, with the goal of minimizing the use of Japanese. The course follows a structured approach using a textbook that covers various delicate issues. Students will be expected to understand and apply relevant vocabulary, grammar, and content. They will also develop the ability to express their opinions on these topics in English and provide reasons to support their viewpoints. Throughout the semester, students will deliver a minimum of three short speeches or presentations. They are encouraged to challenge themselves and experiment with their English skills as much as possible. Additionally, collaboration with classmates will be an essential aspect of the course, as students will work together on classroom activities and projects. |
授業のねらい・到達目標 | The course objectives are for students to improve their English speaking and writing skills for academic purposes while improving their English vocabulary and grammar. Another goal is for students to be able to express their opinions about various topics in clear, logical English. 授業の方法 | The course will use an "active" approach to learning English, using the content and exercises in the textbook and openly discussing the topics in pairs, groups, or as a class. Feedback will be provided in class. |
履修条件 | ①英語習熟度別クラス分けテストを受け、その結果により振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。 ②英語習熟度別クラス分けテスト未受験の者は、GRECで振り分けられたクラスで履修すること。振り分けられたクラス以外での履修はできません。 ③「英語1」(前期)と「英語2」(後期)は同一教員による同一時限のクラスを履修すること。 ④卒業に必要な外国語科目として「英語」を選択した場合、必ずこの科目を履修すること。 |
