対面授業と課題研究（English Language Learning with Timothy Gutierrezを通じた学習資料配信）
授業概要 The aim of this course is to develop the communicative skills of the students. Students will develop their listening and speaking skills to understand English used in a variety of situations and to be able to respond in ways appropriate to the situation. In addition, they will be assigned to do activities individually, in pairs and groups. They will learn how to summarize what they read to be able to explain in easy language. Students will also be taught basic presentation skills, do research and make short presentations in front of the class.
授業のねらい・到達目標 この科目は文理学部のDP及びCPの2, 3, 6 に対応している。
This class aims to equip students with the communicative skills they need to feel comfortable speaking and listening to English in a wide variety of situations. (A-2-1)(A-3-1)
Students will participate in activities designed to improve their listening comprehension and ability to make themselves understood in spoken English including formal and informal conversation.(A-6-1)
授業の形式 演習
授業の方法 The skill building exercises will be done in class in the form of individual, pair and group activities. Audio and video materials will be used to improve their listening and speaking skills. Students will practice their presentation skills by making short presentations towards the end of the semester. In addition, supplementary materials relevant to the topics studied in class will be given by the instructor. Feedback on the homework assignments will be given to the students in the following week.
Complete assignments on Canvas LMS given each week.
履修条件 ・同一教員・同一時限で前期と後期を対にして履修すること。
・前期の初回授業時に受講希望者が定員を超過した場合、人数調整をするので、初回の授業に必ず出席すること。履修の許可を得た上で、履修登録をすること。

「Textbook Exams (Speaking & Listening)」は録画されたビデオか、「https://elearn.gutierrez94580.com/」によるリスニングクイズの評価となります。
「Textbook Activities」の完成度は、締切日までに「https://elearn.gutierrez94580.com/」上のQuestionnairesに回答したことによって測定される。
「Extensive Listening」の完成度は、締切日までに「https://xreading.com/」上の「Read Time」、「Listen Time」、と「Quiz Passed」によって測定される。
毎回の授業で教科書や消耗品を忘れた生徒は、教科書や消耗品を共有している生徒に最終成績の１％をプレゼントします。
また、教科書は授業開始前に購入してください。
対⾯授業に参加できない場合の条件を満たし遠隔で参加した場合、課題の提出によって評価する。
小テストや授業内試験を受けられない場合、CANVAS LMSを介した課題提出によって評価する。期日については都度、CANVAS LMSで告知する。
